Abu Dhabi's biggest hotel to open next month

Abu Dhabi will get its biggest hotel next month when Millennium Hotels and Resorts opens the doors on its new 850-room Grand Millennium property in the city.

The Grand Al Wahda will comprise of 585 hotel rooms and 265 residences and promises a “first-class guest experience” with a range of eateries and a new nightclub for the city.

The new hotel will be located adjacent to the Al Wahda Shopping Mall and Al Wahda Sports Club.

Grand Al Wahda will boast several dining venues, showcasing international cuisine including the Poterhouse Blues Bar and Grill, Asian restaurant Toshi, the Portabello Italian eatery and the Al Wahda all-day dining outlet.

Reflexions night club at the Grand Al Wahda will offer a range of premium drinks, including Grand Cru Champagne by the glass.

“The opening of the hotel signals a new era in accommodation here in Abu Dhabi and we expect to raise the bar in terms of the guest experience” said general manager Michael Sorgenfrey.

“Quite apart from the sheer size of the hotel we will stand out in terms of our employees’ contribution to the smooth running of the operation through their product knowledge and service standards, and look forward to welcoming guests from November onwards.”

The Grand Al Wahda also features the largest health club in the city with state-of-the-art gym and spa facilities.
