Taxis Problem in Abu Dhabi

Whats wrong with the taxis in Abu Dhabi, do everyone facing the same problem, i have to wait minimum 20min every time i need to go somewhere, old taxis will not stop, new taxis will not accept to go.....

for how long it will be like this?????????

The main problem that the gov canceled a number of the old taxis, but they didn't release the same number of the new taxi, plus people here in Abu Dhabi are increasing so available taxis cant serve everyone,

I usually talk to the driver and ask for their numbers so if you need taxi, you can contact them and ask them to pick up you in specific location and time.

Marco_1 is right, if you travel with taxi and you find the driver nice and reliable, ask for his number. It is good to have 3-4 numbers, if the one is busy, you can call the other.
I recommend indian taxi drivers, they are drive calm and safe.

Yes i think no problem with the taxis anymore, even the taxi drivers is complaining that there business became slow after the new buses. 20dhm is too much!!!!!!!

for now as i noticed since they release the buses, taxis are more available, the waiting time is much less than before, but also you cant depend on the buses as desert rose said it does not cover every street,,,
