Hi All,
I have a query regarding a job offer I have got from a company in Abu Dhabi(in IT Sector). I have submitted all the required documents for the job and now waiting for Security Clearance and Job Visa approval. I have seen some old info. related to this in the same forum but as per the current rules and regulations in UAE how much time it would take to get the security clearance and Visa.

Security Cleareance Rejected for Some Nationalities

Hi i work in HR, let me tell you currently the following Nationalities are getting Security Clearance REJECTED :

- Yemen (since 2010)
- Egypt
- Syria
- Libya
- Somalia (since 2009)
- Pakistan (some not all)

This applies ONLY if you are applying for a job in ABU DHABI. This does not affect your visa , but basically you cannot work in any government company if your clearance is rejected.

I really hope it changes many people living their whole life in UAE are suffering because of this. I hope they change it for YEMEN because since 2010 they are rejecting all Yemenis to work in Abu Dhabi Government companies / Semi-Government, its not fair. Also other nationalities are suffering now.

Hi guys;
I would like to know how long it will take to get my employment visa to Abu dhabi??. it 3 weeks of waiting so far.

to clarify my case, here are the last massages that i got from the recrutment agnecy:
they said:
1(( Your security clearance is through and they are now working on your visa..... )))

2((As soon as we have your visa (which shouldn’t take long at all) we’ll fly you in.)))

to ur information, i only filled out the security clearance and sent it back via internet with copy of my passport + 1 DIG photo.

do they can work on my visa and security clerance on the same time ???

anyway.... tell u the full story later.

Hello Fabbas,

No update so far, but I got some information abt this, My friend he lives in Dubi, he said that , usually it takes time to get ur visa sort out, and also it depends on the sector that u're going to work in. and if your sponsor insisting on the departments there, and checks from time to time the process of ur application.

my friend from poland she was living in UK and, she got in Dubi today (28/mai) after 3 weeks of waiting. many of my friends said that none can tell you a specific period of waiting, in general all that it depends on the administrative process.

my advice for you is to be patient, and if u're currently unemployed try to do sth to make urself busy of waiting and thinking.

PS: i will check with UAE embassey here in Morocco, if i got sth new i will tell u.

Clrearance for existing UAE Residence

Good day,

does anyone know how long the security clearance takes for employees who already live in the UAE?

I am Iraqi, I have had a Valid UAE residence visa since 2005. An Abu Dhabi Government entity has offered me a job; conditional of course that I get the clearance.

They have already submitted the clearance request 3 days ago. Does anoyone know how long this may take?

I am also one of those who has accepted a job offer from the Adnoc group and waiting for the security clearance. Can anyone who has joined the Adnoc group recently can tell about the time taken for the security clearance?

Hi My security clearance was approved after 2 weeks I also received Job offer in Abu Dhabi but now that the security clearance is done they're saying that the hiring is on hold due to emiratisation.
