I am among the successful candidates who received job offer from ADCO which conducted it's recruitment campaign in ADNEC. My interview was on 13th Oct and I have signed an offer for grade 13. ADNOC group were offering 42 working days leaves earlier and now they reduced it to 42 calender days leave. Is this true? Can we negotiate this during the interview??

Yes its true. They have changed from 42 working days to 42 calender days. And they are all paid leaves.
I dont think that you can negotiate as all these rules are same for every employee and according to their labour laws.

salary scale
We have seen many postings regarding ANOC salaries. Recently one gentleman highlighted that he negotiated and got a salary offer 10000 more than the initial offer. It looks quite cloudy as the ADNOC is a major company having Grades and pay scale for each position. If they offer a salary that is the lowest in the scale then during interview it can be negotiated and may get a salary near to the upper limit of the scale. Practically no increase beyond this limit (upper limit of pay scale) is possible??

You are very true.My husband who has been just offered a job in ADMA did negotiated but they did not increased beyond their limit as they just changed the level of the pay scale. We did asked them to increase the grade but they refused to do so.

ADNOC Group Companies Salary range
Hi,
I have attached the Salary structure of ADNOC group companies (including ADCO) that was earlier posted by Ebdoosh. You can see for a particular grade, there is a basic salary range and not a fixed salary. The difference between highest and lowest salary could be as high as 90% ! That means if somebody is a deserving candidate and negotiates well with HR, he can get a higher salary.

The above response is same as what I have mentioned. What I highlighted is that it is not possible to have a base salary above the upper limit of salary for a particular band in the scale. But one advantage with ADNOC offer is the end of service benefits includes the supplementary allowance also.

I was also among the successful candidates during the recent ADCO Employment Campaign in October, all within a single weekend.
I came early to ADNEC only to realize that there had been over a thousand candidates per day for the last 3 days. My interview was on the last day. The interviewers were experts in their own fields and like many candidates, I thought I had failed. However, the offer came within minutes after the long interview.
Next came the salary offer and negotiation. Several candidates whispered to me on how unattractive the salary was. They had wanted to negotiate.
With me, the HR officer said that my salary is already at maximum scale within specific grade. There can be no negotiation, the only way is to work for a future promotion. For me, the package is already almost double of what I take home now. Salary may not be everything for now, there is the time, children's education, experience, etc. Abu Dhabi is really expanding fast and the ADNOC group is her flagship. Doing some homework especially with the information provided in this forum proves to be priceless. It's also good to take every opportunity to speak and discuss with other participants since they come from all over the world including neighboring companies. Some even have experiences above 25 years. Hence, upon clarifying several terms, I signed my acceptance. Of course this is not final; HR requires the top management's admission and UAE's security/visa clearance.
Anyway, next came the general medical tests in the afternoon, fast for 10hours and do the blood & urine test on the following day. Finally since I'm above 35 years of age, I had to do the stress test by running on the treadmill for about 15minutes. Thank god for the weekend jogs in the park. By midnight of the same day, I was already on the plane back to Malaysia.
A week later, the agent requested for attested copies of my degree certificate. This was quite challenging at first. Alhamdulillah, with the advice of mrusdi66, I resolved this requirement after 2 weeks. See http://abudhabiliving.net/node/3033#comment-2315.

i am also got offer letter from adco on 15th october, done the medical same time, submited all my documents required now waiting for the security clearance. does any one how much time it will take? as the told me it will take almost 1 month but some people in the company said its not fixed some got it in 2 months and some got it in almost 5 months. and what do they check in security clearance i am in dubai right now and i had case with mashreq bank for Credit card which is resolved already is it going to effect my scurity check please do let me know i will really appreciate it.

i also one of the candidates that manage to get an offer from them.
I remember I rejected the offer because its too low, even it is at the maximum end of the range. I went to the agent and told them why I rejected. He went to see the HR again and they gave me a better offer, similar to the previous one (grade, basic, etc) except they added 'market adjustment' value. Even its slightly low than what im expected, I accepted the offer. right now still waiting for visa and security clearence.
See what happen this coming weeks since its already a month.

Please MNM_79 can u tell me that the security clearance is before the submission of attested degree or after as the degree attestation process here in pakistan takes at least 3 weeks. We have already submitted all the visa documents and have signed the employment contract. Only the attested degrees are left to send them.

Update on ADCO security/visa process (Oct Campaign) - For me, the security / visa process will start from next week (along with seven others), as there was a delay on my side to provide the documents. The consultant/recruiter told that it may take weeks for the security clearance process, followed by few days for visa processing. Keeping my fingers crossed ...

I am Malaysia citizen and currently staying at Sabah, Malaysia. Today, i got an email from hr@adnocc.com regarding interview as the position above. The interview will be held at Conference Hall at ADNOC Abu Dhabi. The interview letter had state that the company 100% responsible to sponsor all candidate to attend this interview scheduled including Visa, Airfare, Feeding, Accommodation, Airport pick up and Local transportation, with one condition Refundable security deposit US D480.00 must be paid by candidate to attend this interview, but it will be refund after the interview. I'm kind of suspicious regarding this, but if this is true i`m interest to attend this interview. Is anyone have same experience about this especially candidate from Malaysia? Kindly advise

please dont fall for any of the tricks which required or asking amount even its refundable. this is probably the most common scam in UAE. as you have state the email address as hr@adnocc.com well with adnoc email they are only using single "C" thats where my concerned is. i have gone through with an interview with ADCO and they never ask for any money or anything.
anyway for the safer side if possible you can send me your interview letter on the following email. i can double check with the HR in the company itself and can confirmed you. its totally upto you.

I've received that kind of offers too. I ignored them. But if you're curious, check the origin, and consider the following:
1. ADNOC email is "*@adnoc.ae". Refer to http://www.adnoc.ae. NOT dot.coms;
2. ADCO uses employment agents to do the initial filtration. Why would ADNOC being the holding company do any less? ADNOC group turnover is huge, at least 25 times of PETRONAS.
3. The last October recruitment campaign, ADCO had 4 days of around 1000 candidates each day attending for interview. All expenses, airfare from all over the world, airport transfer, hotel and food were paid by ADCO.
4. Agents would also call you direct. Did anyone call you?

As Fawad says, it looks like a scam as the company doesn't ask for any security deposit. The email address usually will have .ae instead of .com, as I have received an email from ADCO (it looks like name@adco.ae). Good that you have checked it.

If you are a successful candidate then you have got employment offer from ADCO which bears phone nos of ADCO (At bottom). secondly between 18-25 th October you also received email by ADCO saying they will proceed your security clearance now.you can contact on that email.

Dear rvishnu84, I didn't get the follow up email from ADCO, but as Dummy73 said, you could probably refer to the “Employment Offer” Letter paragraph 4, “If you are in agreement with all the terms specified above, you are kindly requested to sign below and return the signed copy to @adco.ae. If you have any questions regarding this please call . There are different Recruitment Officers in charge but surely, being corporate and all, ADCO would have the same offer format, 95% at least. Anyway, you can also call them direct via the number stated within the letterhead (at the bottom) or alternatively visit the ADCO website.
Nevertheless, be patient my friends, no point of rushing the HR team. I’m sure the recipient departments in ADCO are as eager as we are. And I’m pretty sure that HR is already trying to expedite everyone. Consider this; it’s NOT just a school bus load of us and after all, they did mention that the process does take some time. Remember, there’s still the medical, the security, the management, visa application and finally the contract; all needs to be accepted and fully approved. Regards.

I email the Recruiter about security and medical result and the recruiter told me that they have only got the feedback of those candidates who need to do their medicals again.
And regarding the Security clearance, they need the letter from the current employer which contains the current position and how long you have been working in the organization for security clearance. Is this true because they did not tell me before so this mean that my application for the security clearance will take more time

The forum seems to have gone quite, does that mean most people have been accepted or rejected.
I am still waiting to hear for my security clearance, although having said that I submitted my degree on 23rd Nov.
Advise for any one looking to have their degree attestation done from the UK:
I found a website that quoted me £380 for the whole process, which I thought was a bit much.
The best way to do it is get a copy attested by a local high street solicitor £10, Then Legalisation of your degree by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office £36 inc postage (http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us/what-we-do/services-we-deliver/legal-s...). Finally £20 UAE embassy fee.

I talked to the recruiting agent today and they told me still most of the cases are waitin for the security clearance and no joining had been made from Oct Campaign till now.

U must have received email from ADCO HR after the interview if u r selected.Use that email address and if possible remind that person about ur case.He will check and immediately respond to u.
If u dont have the email from HR ,check ur offer letter ,read the contact number mentioned and use it to contact the HR.

Update on a friend of mine
Friend of mine who went for interview together with me will be joining adco mid march. He received his visa last month.
Im abit confuse with this, since we were interviewed on the same day, and we come from a same country. Im Malaysia by the way.

Congratz guyz for those who got their SC and Visa...you've been gone for a long way now..like rvishnu84, I'm still enduring a difficulty to wait my SC approval..sometimes I feel dismayed to wait further. Somehow guys you've been restoring my hope to wait more. For you guys who received their SC and especially who got visa lately, may I know your post or work category pls? I am just thinking of some possibilities how the hiring process going on if are they prioritize categorily according to their present demand to fill in.
